Disaster Area Designs MIDI Box 4

I love MIDI and pedals that'll follow the clock. However, MIDI DIN-to-TRS converter cables are a total crapshoot. There are several methods of wiring the 5-pin DIN to 3-pin TRS, and a bunch of brands do it different ways.

I use a Disaster Area Designs MIDI Box 4 to do the conversion. It has DIP switches to set the pin config. They also have a 1-port version.

I chose this over other options (Morningstar MIDI Box, Meris MIDI I/O) because of the DIP-switch flexibility and the price.
