Line6 Helix Floor

Multi-effects processor and amp modeler with extensive audio I/O and MIDI support, enabling complex signal chains with an easy-to-use interface

I bought my Helix in March 2024 from Chicago Music Exchange. My daughter and I were in Chicago to see This Will Destroy You and I had been eyeballing a used Helix at CME for a week or two.

I had a Fender Hot Rod Deville that I didn't want anymore and got a few hundred bucks for it from CME.

I wasn't super pumped that it included the backpack (and therefore cost a bit more) but the backpack is ridiculously spacious and I'm not made about it anymore 🤣.

Why I chose the Helix Floor over the LT:

  • XLR I/O meant I could use this as a vocal processor.
  • 4 FX loops allow me to toggle non-MIDI pedals on/off with one switch
    • Also enables me to send multiple outputs, one with cabinet modeling and one without (when running to a real amp)
  • The scribble strips alone are worth the extra
