Elektron Digitakt
I had FOMO about mono-only samples when I bought my DT1 but I haven't found a need for them. Euclidean sequencer would be cool but I'm doing fine without.
The learning curve people talk about when Elektron devices get brought up is largely overblown. Just read the manual.
I switched over to a USB-C PD charger using USB-C to DC cables (5.5mm x 2.5mm) to power my Digitakt and Digitone and it cleaned up my wiring considerably. Highly recommend the approach.
Works great as an audio interface; reduces the amount of gear I need to bring along for recording in a practice space or hotel room.
Realistic Drums
I've got a separate article about using the Digitakt to program drums that sound like a human drummer. Check it out.
Cons
Digitakt will not allow you to feed the metronome to the headphones only, so it wouldn't work for keeping the click out of your main outs. I get around this by running everything into an audio interface with 4 outputs, like the Arturia Minifuse 4
